Celebrations galore with IFIM’s Annual Alumni Meet, Milan 2016

IFIM Business School celebrated Milan 2016, its 19th Alumni Meet today, with much of fun-fare and entertainment driving strong sense of nostalgia in them. The significance of Milan has been very high as it enriches the legacy of the institution by bringing alumni of different batches share their professional as well as personal life on a single platform.

Milan was a day-long engaging event in which alumni from different batches came with their families and friends shared their experiences and re-lived their college day and walked down the memory lane. It started with a flute recital by the iconic Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia and ended with the celebration of Independence Day. The recital of “Saare Jahan se Accha” by Shri Pandit Hari Prasad Cahurasia set the tone of the day . Milan also had many interesting and exciting line of fun activities which included cooking workshop, wine tasting session, quiz competition, kids painting and organic farming workshop. Besides there were knowledge sharing sessions in which star alumni and professors shared key industry insights and case studies.

Keeping with tradition, IFIM held the Annual General Meeting to discuss the progress of the institution on multiple dimensions and the future plans.

Speaking on this occasion Mr. Sanjay Padode, Secretary - CDE Society, IFIM said “Alumni are our assets and flag bearer of the values and education imparted by us. We have always been focused on building and nurturing strong relationship with our alumni. Milan is one platform which gives the impetus to our collaboration with alumni, making it stronger. We get the industry insights form them and incorporate their valuable suggestions in enhancing our curriculum.”

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Hemant Kulshreshtha, President IFIM Alumni Association said “It is important for alumni and institution to create and leverage symbiotic relationship. The strong relation between institute and alumni is mutually benefitting as many alumni would like to give back to their alma-matter in holistic way from suggesting on industry trends to mentoring the students. It gives them a sense of satisfaction.”

The icing on cake was the cultural program in the evening and the candle light vigil for marking the final instalment of Azaadi 70, celebrating the commencement of 70th year of Indian independence.
